About

It’s a little gallery with a big heart!

Buchanan Gallery, formerly known as Focus Gallery, is nestled in the town of Shelburne, Nova Scotia. It is a small art gallery that exhibits work by local artists (paintings, carvings, pottery and folk art) and occasionally artwork by visiting artists. Gallery owner and manager, Lisa Buchanan, is also a photographer and you can see some of her photographs taken in and around Shelburne County, including her panoramas of Shelburne’s historic waterfront.

Buchanan Gallery is also a photo studio for Lisa. She loves any and all photos, and enjoys having the opportunity to restore old/damaged photos. She offers a variety of services (scanning, editing, restoring, framing) to ensure your photos can be enjoyed for many years to come. Her skills can also be applied to documents such as old recipes, handwritten letters, children’s artwork, etc.

In support of Shelburne’s local musical community, Buchanan Gallery also keeps a good supply of basic music supplies on hand as well as few instruments from time to time.
