AJ d’Entremont

Alvah J. d’Entremont (known as AJ) is a fisherman turned artist. After an accident that almost took his hand, AJ decided he needed to do something to occupy his time. That’s when his artistic side took over.

With a sharp eye for seeing what others miss, AJ uses driftwood he finds on the beach near his home to create beautiful and a bit whimsical carvings. The pieces he chooses have characteristics that suggest a wing or head of a bird. With a bit of care he turns them into unique and charming artworks.

AJ continues to carve and create his art pieces at his home in Pubnico, Nova Scotia.

Below is a sample of some of the artwork by AJ currently on display at Buchanan Gallery.
