Photo Restoration

Restore your photos and preserve your memories.

Photographs can be precious. But even so, they still get shoved in drawers and boxes, bent up and crinkled, or left in the sun where they can fade.

If you have a photo you’d like restored, I can scan or photograph them. If your photo(s) has been scanned previously, you can send me the large-sized digital file. I can remove damage such as scratches, cracks, tears and discolouration.

Sample #1
A simple scan and edit.

Sample #2

This photo could not be removed from the sealed frame without causing further damage. The photo had adhered in places to the back of the glass. To restore, a photograph was taken of the picture still in the frame.

One of my favourite restores, a lady brought in a tiny 1.5″ x 2″ old photograph that she had stuck to a folded post-it note and kept in her wallet for several years. It was a photo taken of her great-grandmother back in the early 1900s. The photo was crumbling and in pieces. After quite a bit of editing, I was able to preserve this little gem and produce a 5″ x 7″ print for the customer.

When you bring your photos in, we can discuss options. Prices are dependent upon the amount of restoration desired.
